From monumental bronze statues that celebrate our unique history, to shopping, dining, and even lodging, The Artesia Arts & Cultural District is a hub of activity in this Southeastern New Mexico community. From the state of the art Artesia Public Library to the Baish Veteran’s Park to the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center, the Artesia ACD offers something for everyone. We even have a walking tour that will take you past many of our most inspiring attractions.
Additional fun and excitement can be found in other parts of Artesia also. Golfers can try their game at the Artesia Country Club and other sports enthusiasts can visit one of the eight local parks. Fishing, water skiing, boating and sailing await you at Brantley Lake State Park, just 17 miles south of Artesia.
The Artesia Historical Museum and Art Center offers a variety of art and historical exhibits with many featuring local artists. Artesia is located within easy driving distance to many scenic and natural recreational tourist attractions that contribute to New Mexico’s title, the “Land of Enchantment.”
Whether it is the Main Event Car Show & Cruise, the Balloons and Bluegrass Festival, or the Light Up Artesia Parade, there is always something fun and exciting happening in Artesia.
For lodging, dining, or shopping outside of the Arts and Cultural District, visit the Artesia Chamber of Commerce.
